HAND WOMEN, MEN SWING

November 13 - 30, 1997

Hand Women, Men Swing was a presentation of two separate plays-The Hand that Holds the String and Porch Swing.

Roberta Uno-director of the New World Theater at the University of Massachusetts- added the script and video recording of The Hand that Holds the String to the University’s national archives of plays by Asian American women playwrights. The Hand that Holds the String was also the subject of chapter one of A Different Kind of Asian American: Negotiating and Redefining Asian/American in Theater Mu a PHD dissertation by Hsui-chen Lin Classon at Northwestern University.
