MU TRAINING INSTITUTE

The Mu Training Institute (MTI) was created to increase Asian American and BIPOC representation in all facets of theater. Class topics include audition prep, monologues, scene study, musical theater, and movement theories, and the curriculum is designed for aspiring and working BIPOC artists (with the exception of our Asian American-focused play-reading book clubs or lectures).

Also under the MTI umbrella is our Mu Explorations summer camp for grades 3-9; our paid production fellowships, which can be found on our Work With Us page; and our playwright cohorts, the Mu Tang Clan and the Mu Emerging Playwrights’ Circle.

  • Interim artistic director Katie Bradley will teach you how to analyze and bring to life a scene across this 10-session class. This class is designed for those with previous theater experience or training. Register by Mar 31! Learn more.

  • Registration is open for the Mu Explorations summer camp, available for grades 3-9! Across two weeks in July, we’re offering eight half-day, week-long camps broken up by age group. Learn more.
